The hardest part of eFoiling in 2026 isn’t the flight—it’s the purchase (learn about importing costs and logistics). Fliteboard’s 2026 lineup has grown into clearly defined families. From the outside, they all look sleek, but on the water in Mauritius, they behave very differently.
I’ve imported and ridden dozens of these. I still have a blast on an ICON board with a massive wing for a chill cruise, but these days, I’m on a PRO for that agile, connected feel. Here is the truth about the Series 6 lineup.
The 2026 Lineup at a Glance
Before we talk specs, you need to know which family you belong to.

All Flite efoils overview
- AIR Family: Built for durability and shared use. Best for families or launching from docks where bumps are guaranteed.
- ICON Family: The bridge. It’s stable enough to learn on but light enough to start feeling the foil.
- PRO Family: The sweet spot. Agile, responsive, and where most long-term owners stay (explore PRO models at OceanFly).
- ULTRA Family: Performance only. Connected, sharp, and meant for riders who want zero lag.
- RACE Family: Pure speed. Engineered for efficiency and podium finishes
AIR Family: The Impact-Tolerant Entry
The AIR family is built for riders who prioritize durability, shared use, and a stress-free learning curve. These boards utilize a rigid-inflatable technology—a solid foam core for riding stability encased in an inflatable bladder for impact tolerance. If you’re launching from rocky access points or busy boat docks in Grand Baie, this is the safest way to protect both the board and your boat.
Main Features:
- Rigid core ensures a steady, predictable ride during your first lift.
- Inflatable outer layers absorb beginner mishaps and protect against dock impacts.
- Deflatable design allows for compact storage in a board bag, ideal for travel or yacht storage.
- Soft-touch surface is forgiving on the skin during frequent falls.
Facts:
- Colors: Sabbia, Sky, Sol, Jade.
- Sizes: 80L (AIR PRO) and an 110 L (AIR ICON).
- Weight: 25 kg
- Materials: Rigid-Inflatable Technology (HDPVC + foam core).
- Color: Sabbia
This board is best for: Families sharing one setup, boat owners, and nervous beginners who want the most stable platform in Tamarin Bay.
AIR ICON & AIR PRO ICON
The AIR boards come in two different sizes:
![]()
The AIR ICON is the bigger board, the “Confidence King”. It’s stable, floats well, and makes early sessions in the flat water of Tamarin Bay enjoyable instead of exhausting.
The AIR PRO ICON is smaller and more nimble. It’s for the rider who wants that inflatable “safety net” but expects to progress quickly.
Hard Boards: From Beginner Tips to Wave Riding
Once you’re flying consistently, you’ll want a hard board. They release from the water smoother and respond predictably.
ICON Hard Boards: The All-Rounder
![]()
The Fliteboard ICON is the anchor of the 2026 lineup, providing 100L of stability for heavier riders and beginners, while offering advanced pilots the rhythmic, high-gravity carving sensation of a classic longboard.
If you want one board that does everything for everyone in Mauritius, the ICON is it. It is the biggest rigid board in the family. It is designed it to remove the stress of the “first lift” while keeping enough performance to satisfy a seasoned pro.
For Beginners and Heavier Riders
Size matters when you’re learning or if you’re a larger human. The ICON provides the surface area and buoyancy needed to plane early without the board feeling “twitchy.”
- Ease of Start: The 100L volume supports riders up to 120 kg with ease.
- Stable Platform: At 173 cm long, you have plenty of room to find your stance before you ever pull the trigger.
- Forgiving Touchdowns: When you come off the foil, the ICON’s hull shape is designed to skip off the water rather than dig in and stop you cold.
Main Features:
- Balanced size and volume for quick, stable aquaplaning.
- Recessed handles and refined ergonomics for easier handling off the water.
- Optional Soft Top 2 construction for maximum grip and comfort during long sessions.
- Modular design allows for easy propulsion and wing upgrades as your skills grow.
Facts:
- Sizes: 173 cm x 71 cm (100L volume).
- Weight: 30 kg
- Materials: Carbon, Fiberglass, or Soft Top 2.
- Colors: White, Sky, Sol, Jade, Sabbia, Ash, Black, Saltbush

Available Materials:
- Carbon: The premium choice. Lightweight, stiff, and delivers the most direct feedback.
- Fiberglass: The durable standard. Great balance of flex and strength.
- Soft Top 2: Best for families and boat days. The EVA top layer is soft on the knees and incredibly dent-resistant.
This board is best for: All-rounders who want one board that can handle everything from flat water to small swell.
PRO Hard Boards: The Precision Tool
The Fliteboard PRO is the “Precision Tool” of the 2026 lineup—at 67L, it removes the safety net of the ICON to give intermediate and advanced riders a telepathic connection to the water.
This is my daily board. It’s quicker edge-to-edge. The PRO is great for cruising over distance but also lets you carve the waves with precision. I cought some waves with it at Black Stone (on the North side of Tamarin Bay) and it was great fun!

If the ICON is a longboard, the PRO is your high-performance shortboard. It’s smaller, lighter, and much faster edge-to-edge. When you lean, the board moves. No lag. No hesitation.
In the 2026 Series 6, the PRO has been refined to be the absolute “Sweet Spot.” It has enough volume to get you out of the water, but it’s compact enough to disappear under your feet the moment you hit flight speed.
At 152 cm, the PRO is short enough to fit in the back of most SUVs without folding seats or at the back of your pickup.
For Heavier riders (100kg+) it will take some practise getting up on this board. I recommend you try this board size before purchasing one blindly.
PRO Main Features
- Pocket Rocket: Built to deliver agile and dynamic performance. Designed for aggressive riding in oceans, lakes, or rivers.
- Gateway to Wave Riding: Features a refined shape specifically engineered to smooth out the learning curve as you transition into wave riding.
- Focused Performance: Maintains enough volume to allow for controlled takeoffs in rougher seas while remaining compact enough for impressive, high-speed maneuvers.
- Agile & Responsive: A significantly shorter length reduces swing weight, meaning the board reacts faster to your input for tighter, more direct turns.
- Progression Focused: Sits in the sweet spot between the stable ICON and the expert ULTRA L3, offering a platform that doesn’t “filter” rider intent but still allows for recovery.
PRO Facts
- Length: 152 cm (5’0”).
- Width: 62 cm (24.5”).
- Volume: 67 Liters.
- Board Weight: 24 kg (Board only: 9.3 kg)
- Construction Options: Available in Carbon-Innegra (stiffest/lightest), Fiberglass (durable/accessible), and Soft Top 2 (impact resistant).
- Colors: Carbon comes in Ash, Black, and Jade. Soft Top 2 comes in Sky, Sol, and Saltbush

ULTRA & RACE: For the Specialists
ULTRA L3: The Wave Hunter
This is where eFoiling meets surf foiling.
The ULTRA L3 is the lightest production eFoil ever built. At 6 kg board weight and just 49 liters of volume, it’s not a board you learn on. It’s a board you graduate to.
Fliteboard redesigned everything for wave performance. The mast position is moved forward. There’s an integrated tail kicker. The swing weight is minimal. What that means on the water: you shift your weight and the board goes. No delay. No filtering. Pure response.
The goal with this board is powered-off riding. You catch a wave, kill the throttle, and surf it. The motor gets you there. The wave does the rest.

ULTRA L3 Facts:
- Length: 132 cm (4’4”)
- Width: 54 cm (21¼”)
- Volume: 49L
- Board Weight: 6 kg (13.2 lbs)
- Construction: Carbon only
- Best for: Experienced riders who already surf or foil surf
Honest truth: This board will frustrate you if you’re not already comfortable on a PRO. There’s almost no volume. Getting up requires commitment and technique. If you’re not there yet, the PRO is your board. The ULTRA will wait.
RACE: The Speed Merchant
Fliteboard built this one with Mercury Racing. That’s not marketing. The impeller is co-engineered with them specifically for this board.
Top speed: 55 km/h (34 mph). That’s the fastest production eFoil on the market.
The RACE is built for flat water. Low-drag profile. Narrow shape. Everything optimized for efficiency at high speed. If you want to cover distance fast — or you’re actually interested in eFoil racing as it starts to grow — this is your board.
The signature rosso stripes on Carbon Innegra look the part too. It doesn’t just go fast. It looks like it goes fast.

RACE Facts:
- Length: 147 cm (4’10”)
- Width: 52 cm (20½”)
- Volume: 58L
- Board Weight: 7.2 kg (15.9 lbs)
- Construction: Carbon Innegra only
- Best for: Speed-focused riders, competitive eFoilers, flat water specialists
Honest truth: Most riders in Mauritius don’t need this board. The water around the island — boat traffic, lagoon boundaries, reef hazards — limits how fast you can realistically push it. If speed records are your goal, it’s incredible.
The Right Board Changes Everything
Wrong board = frustrating sessions. Right board = you progress fast and actually enjoy it.
Skill level, body weight, riding goals, and whether beginners are sharing the setup — these four things determine your choice. Not hype. Not aesthetics.
The smart part: Fliteboard is modular. Mast, battery, remote → they all transfer.
When your riding outgrows your board, you swap the board. Not the whole system.
